One of our favourite places to go for a Sunday Roast! Incredible food and always leave with a mega full stomach! Never disappoints! Have added photos from two of our visits.

Sunday roast today at one of Bristols most talked about location for Sunday lunch. This is the best roast I’ve had in the city so far! For starters I chose the Steak Tartar which was incredible! The potato was super crispy and I loved how the mushrooms added a hint of acidity - I think they had been soaked in some sort of vinegar. I did feel like the fried potato took over the taste of the tartar so potentially would’ve added more steak to offset that but still 10/10. My friend chose the Ham Hock Terrine which was also stunning, would 100% order that next time! I went for the Pork Shoulder which came with crispy crackling, buttered veg, Yorkshire pudding and roast potato’s. My friend chose the beef. All in all, this was one of my favourite roasts of all time (with the exception of my nan’s which sadly cannot be beaten). We would have liked more gravy and smaller potato’s (because who doesn’t like that extra crisp?!). The meat was cooked perfectly, portion size spot on, one of the best Yorkshire’s I’ve had and I’ve never enjoyed veg on a roast as much as I did here. Sadly we didn’t have room for dessert but the treacle tart on the specials board sounded insane. Would love to visit again and try their main menu too!

Blown away by this Sunday roast. Not only was the roast delicious, but the crab butter was insane. Will be back for this alone. The restaurant is cute and the staff is attentive. Would love to try their dinner menu as well!

Had a delightful Sunday roast here today. The beef was sublime very tender and tasty. The crab butter was to die for, a definite must try. We only shared 1 desert but the white chocolate mousse was also excellent. Lovely attentive staff. Good selection of alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks. Very well decorated intimate restaurant.

A really wonderful evening. I would recommend if you’re a large group and the “chef’s table” is available to go for it as it made the occasion feel really special. Great food, good portion size and a reasonable price point paired with wine. It’s a place you’d walk past without giving much thought but will absolutely return especially as the menu is ever changing.

We had one of the nicest Sunday roasts we’ve had in a long time, truly a standout meal. The food was absolutely delicious. The meat was tender and flavorful, the roast potatoes were crisp on the outside and fluffy on the inside, and the vegetables were fresh and well-seasoned. Even the gravy was rich and packed with flavor.

Fantastic Food. Beautifully fresh and exciting flavour combinations with nods to tradition. We had the summer tasting menu, and it was summer on every plate. The bread and delicious butter plus the 2 Hors D'oeuvre were divine, especially the cheese one! All the plates were delicious, but Special taste bud deights were the starter of cured sea bass with grapes, the lighter than air doughnut, the best I have tasted! And the wonderful Strawberry Macaroon which was tangy and light and the perfect finish. Would we recommend and return? Absolutely YES! Matty Grove and his team have great skills and palates. Thank you for a lovely evening:)
